A'ja Wilson Is on Torrid Scoring Pace for Las Vegas Aces

A'ja Wilson set the Las Vegas Aces franchise record for most total points scored, which seemed inevitable. But A'ja is actually on pace to topple another mark, the most points scored in a WNBA season period.
A'ja Wilson has 540 total points through 20 games.

Wilson's 540 points tallied thus far are more than any player has ever registered through 20 games of a season. Of course that only makes up a small portion of the 4,301 points she amassed to set the franchise record. Which she did on Sunday in a win over the Dallas Wings. Wilson is averaging 27 points per game on the year.

Wilson's prolific scoring is just one of the reasons her teammate Kelsey Plum believes she should be a unanimous pick for league MVP. However, Aces coach Becky Hammon said that A'ja's impact goes way beyond just baskets.
"She's the greatest player to put on a uniform. Period. As she would say."

Hammon had this to say about her superstar player, "It's not just what she's doing for our franchise, it's how she moves the needle across the world. She's a special person, special player. Enjoy it, because she's a rarity."
Wilson's star power continues to grow, both through what she has been able to do for the defending champions on the floor, but also with her forthcoming custom Nike shoes coming as well. A'ja's A'One kicks are expected to drop in 2025.
In the meantime she will continue to drop buckets on the heads of opposing players. Always in front of a sold out arena when playing at home in front of fans of the Aces.
