Angel Reese grabbed a lot of rebounds in June and was able to snare WNBA Rookie of the Month as well. The Chicago Sky standout not only set the record for most consecutive double-doubles in a single season, but she is now also atop the entire league when it comes to boards.

Sky head coach Teresa Weatherspoon shared the news with her team ahead of their game against the Atlanta Dream. Barbie averaged 14.5 points and 13.2 rebounds for the month, hence why she brought home the honor. Her 10 straight double-doubles snapped the mark previously held by Candace Parker. Angel is averaging 11.4 rebounds per game which puts her ahead of Las Vegas Aces star A'ja Wilson for first place on the leaderboards.

Reese's win of course comes on the heels of Indiana Fever rookie Caitlin Clark being recognized as the top first-year player in May, as their head-to-head matchups and now race for Rookie of the Year always drive discussion. Here's how the two fared in our latest rookie rankings. The Fever and Sky don't play again until August 30th, though the two are likely to share the court as teammates for the All-Star Game before then.

The rest of the league awards were also announced with Wilson winning Western Conference Player of the Month and Sabrina Ionescu of the New York Liberty capturing Eastern Conference Player of the Month. Minnesota Lynx coach Cheryl Reeve was named Coach of the Month following the team's Commissioner's Cup win.
