Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese Could Team Up In WNBA All-Star Game!

Brad Penner-USA TODAY Sports

The next time we see Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese share the floor together they will probably be playing on the same team. Their head-to-head matchups have been oft discussed, but the Indiana Fever and Chicago Sky don't play again until August 30th.

Before that is the WNBA All-Star game. If early voting returns are any indication, both Clark and Reese will be selected to the squad. And given the format for the exhibition is Team USA vs Team WNBA, that means if things remain as is, Clark and Reese will be teammates in Phoenix facing off against the roster going to the Olympics in Paris. Such a sight will likely be an interesting wrinkle for fans given the two have famously opposed one another from their days at Iowa and LSU, to the much discussed matchups in the W.

Clark was already asked about the situation and complimented her fellow rookie, while understanding viewers might appreciate seeing them on the court together under different circumstances come July 20th. Even if the results aren't quite set in stone as of yet.

"If that was to happen I'm sure people would love it."

There's no doubt that would add extra juice to the festivities, which have already seen a huge increase in interest, at least when it comes to the volume of voting. So get ready for more Clark and Reese talk coming soon...however this time the discussion won't center around a rivalry but rather team chemistry.
