Caitlin Clark Joined By Fever Teammates As WNBA All-Star Voting Surges

Indiana Fever rookie Caitlin Clark is heading to the WNBA All-Star Game. But she won't be alone, as two of her Fever teammates were also selected. That as voting totals absolutely exploded, which has been a trend for everything around the W in Clark's first season.

Clark led all players with over 700,000 votes, more than 600,000 more than the number for the top vote getter from a year ago. Boston was actually second in overall votes, just ahead of Las Vegas Aces star A'ja Wilson. Aliyah has had a strong season after a tough start and it wouldn't be a stretch to suspect she benefitted in the tally due to her new teammate. Clark and Boston will be bring their formidable chemistry to the floor in Phoenix as they take on Team USA. They will also be joined by Kelsey Mitchell, Indiana's leading scorer.

The format for the All-Star Game will see Team WNBA face off with the roster for the Olympics squad, which means that Clark will be suiting up next to fellow rookie Angel Reese of the Chicago Sky as well. The rest of the roster is made up of Allisha Gray of the Atlanta Dream, Kayla McBride of the Minnesota Lynx, Arike Ogunbowale of the Dallas Wings, DeWanna Bonner and Brionna Jones of the Connecticut Sun, Dearica Hamby of the Los Angeles Sparks, Jonquel Jones of the New York Liberty, and Nneka Ogwumike of the Seattle Storm.

Given the voting totals and all the rest of the excitement around Clark and the WNBA, it's clear fans will have All-Star Fever when the game tips off on July 20th.
