Caitlin Clark Shows Support to Cameron Brink After Injury

Caitlin Clark is the latest WNBA star to offer support to Cameron Brink. This of course comes after the Los Angeles Sparks revealed the rookie forward suffered a torn ACL in a game against the Connecticut Sun.

Clark was asked about her rookie counterpart before the Indiana Fever's contest against the Washington Mystics and dubbed the injury devastating, before going on to praise Brink's character.

“I know she’s the type of person that will be able to get through it stronger… It breaks your heart. She’s such a good basketball player but an even better person."

CC went on to reflect on her previous experiences with Cameron including being roommates in Thailand during the FIBA Under-19 Women's Basketball World Cup and various interactions the pair had during their years in college at Iowa and Stanford respectively.

Clark added she is sure Brink has been overwhelmed by support and the outpouring of positive messages was certainly not limited to the Fever star. Another first year player, Angel Reese of the Chicago Sky, posted an Instagram story wishing Brink health adding "Love you my Barbie Doll".

Most of the standout WNBA rookies have dealt with a harsh turnaround from the NCAA Tournament to being drafted to having already played double digit games in just a matter of months. Brink will now get some rest for the wrong reasons but Clark's sentiment that she will only come back stronger is surely shared by all basketball fans rooting her on following the unfortunate knee injury.
