Caitlin Clark made sure some kids had a great day at school. The Indiana Fever rookie returned to Iowa, but did so while bringing school supplies. Clark surprised students at Des Moines North High School and gifted them with Nike backpacks amongst other items. Caitlin also took the time to talk with many of the students, in addition to posing for pictures and signing autographs.

The event was sponsored by Clark's charity, the Caitlin Clark Foundation, and about 350 students left school with new gear. CC's foundation lists this as the mission statement, "to uplift and improve the lives of youth and their communities through education, nutrition, and sport."

Clark also spoke at the event saying this about the occasion. "Honestly, this is the coolest part of what I get to do. Being able to give back to a place that has given me so much...to be able to use my resources and platform to be able to give back to kids and families that have been an integral part of my life is really cool for me."

Clark went on to state that she takes her responsibility as a role model seriously and tries to take the time to make a moment for her fans, adding, "I feel like they impact me just as much as I impact them." One young girl interviewed by WHO 13 News in Iowa had this to say about the experience. "I loved it and I was very excited because she's my favorite basketball player."
