Caitlin Clark Thinks Angel Reese Matchup Should Be in Front of Bigger Crowd in Chicago

Brad Penner-USA TODAY Sports

Caitlin Clark is no stranger to sell out crowds. 17,000+ packed into State Farm Arena in Atlanta to watch the Indiana Fever beat the Dream. But afterwards Clark remarked how that isn't unusual for her.

"These last couple years I played in front of sold out crowds and these type of environments, so for me it's not that different."

The star WNBA rookie was sure not to take the attendance for granted but also remarked how it is nice that many of the road crowds are not cheering against her team.

However, while downplaying her rivalry with Angel Reese, Clark did lament that the matchup between the Indiana Fever and Chicago Sky will not be played at the United Center in Chicago.

"I thought that would have been really good for the game and all the women's basketball fans in Chicago. Maybe there's a conflict of some sort I don't know about - obviously that's a little above my pay grade."

The Sky and Fever contest will take place at Wintrust Arena, which holds about 10,000 fans, less than half of the capacity of the home for the Chicago Bulls. Caitlin was right about a conflict though, as the United Center is booked over the weekend with concerts from Justin Timberlake and Russ. As a result, ticket prices have soared for the showdown, and television ratings are sure to be through the roof.

Here's a look at how Clark and Reese stack up against one another heading into yet another marquee matchup.
