Los Angeles Sparks rookie Cameron Brink had a positive message to share following her ACL surgery. Brink expressed joy in the change in a post shared to her Instagram.

It's not the first time the former Stanford standout has put an optimistic spin on the unfortunate circumstances, given she had previously written, "This is hard to fathom but I know it will only make me stronger. I will not be derailed and I will continue to love this life—I'm not defined by basketball, but it's something that I love deeply and I will work everyday to get back to it."

The Sparks star will also miss out on USA 3x3 basketball Olympics action in Paris as a result of the injury. But she was replaced by one of her teammates. Dearica Hamby was named to the squad and with good reason. Hamby is averaging 17.8 points and 10.5 rebounds this season.

Brink received an outpouring of support after she went down, including from fellow rookie Caitlin Clark. Brink of course was selected right after the Indiana Fever took Clark number one overall in the WNBA Draft.

Cameron particularly shined on the defensive end before the injury, blocking over two shots a game, which was good enough for third in the league. Her offensive potential was also on display through her combination of height, vision, and shooting touch. Though she was a bit inconsistent on that end to begin.

One thing that has has been the model of consistency is her positivity, which Brink displayed yet again in her attitude toward recovery.
