Chicago Sky rookie Angel Reese is the 10th player announced for the new Unrivaled basketball league and perhaps the biggest name yet. The Barbie took to social media to help make it official in a move that is sure to add excitement to the upstart competition that begins in January.

For those unfamiliar, Unrivaled is a 3-on-3 basketball league started by WNBA stars Breanna Stewart and Napheesa Collier of the New York Liberty and Minnesota Lynx respectively. The games will be based in Miami during the WNBA offseason and are set to feature the highest salaries in women's professional sports league history.

Collier had previously told the Associated Press this about the six-figure compensation to be offered. “Compensation is a huge part of Unrivaled as a league and a business. All the players in this first year will have equity in the league. For players to have a piece of the pie essentially to grow their generational wealth is something we’re really excited about.” This of course in an effort to ensure the top women's basketball stars don't have to spend their off-seasons overseas supplementing their income.

The league will run for eight weeks with the 30 players divided into six teams, providing an outlet for fans to watch their favorite WNBA stars in a different venue and format, after the season is over. One of those stars will officially be Reese, who is sure to be a rebounding menace for any 3-person squad that she is a part of, as one could say she is unrivaled when it comes to that skill.
