WWE Star Seth Rollins Compared Caitlin Clark to Michael Jordan

WWE superstar Seth Rollins has been around plenty of greatness in his career. He was a part of The Shield faction with Roman Reigns, who held the company's Universal Championship for over 1,300 days. And he faced off against Reigns and The Rock in teaming up with Cody Rhodes at this year's WrestleMania. So the man knows something about game changing stars. Which is what he called Indiana Fever rookie Caitlin Clark, even comparing her to Michael Jordan.

In an appearance with ESPN to promote SummerSlam, Rollins had this to say about the WNBA star. "I'm a Bulls fan as well, so I don't want to get blasphemous here, but it's Jordanesque. She's changed the game. I'm not saying anybody's as good as Michael Jordan. But from an optics perspective, the amount of eyes she has put on the sport has been incredible."

In my opinion, Seth is correct, as it is the same comparison I have made for Clark many times when it comes to her impact on women's basketball. Which is why I felt leaving her off the Team USA Olympics roster was akin to leaving MJ off The Dream Team. Caitlin has a long way to go to come close to matching MJ's professional on court accolades, but when it comes to transforming the sport, the comparison is apt.

It must be noted that Rollins is from Iowa, which would lead one to believe he could have a special affinity for Caitlin. Also, WrestleMania is in Indianapolis next year and another WWE star, Bianca Belair, has already attempted to entice Clark to appear. Still, it's not hard to see what the wrestling visionary does when it comes to CC.
