DiJonai Carrington and the Indiana Fever are familiar with one another.

Carrington famously played some lockdown defense against Caitlin Clark in the rookie's first ever WNBA game. She also made headlines mocking Clark for perceived flopping, and publicly called out Caitlin in the midst of pleas for her to address hate being pushed by her supporters. Which Clark of course did.

The difference in the latest meeting was that Clark and the Fever got the best of Carrington and the Connecticut Sun. The first time Indiana had beaten Connecticut since 2021, which halted an 11-game losing streak against the franchise.

The win also had some more notable exchanges between Caitlin and DiJonai mixed in. Clark even hit the three that led to her breaking the rookie record for 3-pointers in a season over Carrington.

There was another moment where Carrington attempted to shush the crowd until Clark drove the ball right back in her direction for a bucket. Both players finished the game with 19 points.

But it didn't stop there. Carrington took to social media to express her displeasure with Fever fans following the contest. DiJonai wrote "the indiana fever have the nastiest fans in the W. ew." on X shortly after the game ended.

Of course as previously mentioned, Carrington is not shy about speaking her mind online. She recently also called out the WNBA for the Sun's' historic sellout in Boston versus the Los Angeles Sparks not being nationally televised. Though that was not a league decision.

There's no telling what could have been said to Carrington from any fans to prompt her response. However, it is certain her post will continue the conversation that has been happening all season around her and the Fever.

Even if Clark and company were all smiles after the latest meeting.
