Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese Top Explosive WNBA Merchandise Sales

Joe Camporeale-USA TODAY Sports

If we were on The Family Feud and the question was, "Which WNBA player has sold the most merchandise?", many outside observers may have been able to guess that Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese would be the top two answers on the board. That is indeed the case as the two rookies from the Indiana Fever and Chicago Sky are spurring a surge of merchandise sales in the W.

Fanatics told TMZ Sports that there has been a 500% increase in overall business and a 1,000% increase when it comes to player merchandise, with Clark and Reese leading the charge at one and two respectively. Sabina Ionescu of the New York Liberty comes in third. While another rookie, Kate Martin of the Las Vegas Aces is fourth, which may be surprising to some. However, her connection with Clark from Iowa can easily be cited as the driving force there. Martin has already established a relationship with Aces star A'ja Wilson as well, who takes the fifth spot.

No growth for the league can come as a surprise anymore, with the All-Star Game fresh off of setting more ratings records. Of course that contest saw the much anticipated connection between Clark and Reese. The pair won't see each other on the court again until play resumes in August, with the Fever and Sky meeting in Chicago on the 30th, but until then they may remain next to each other when talking sales. With Caitlin Clark still taking effect and Angel Reese making an impact as well.
