Caitlin Clark Rocks Kobe Gear at Practice and Grocery Store

One would think Caitlin Clark is too famous to go anywhere at this point. But that isn't the case. The Indiana Fever rookie was actually caught shopping for groceries at Kroger in a picture posted by the IU Indianapolis women's basketball account. While seeing Clark pushing a cart full of food may not have been on anyone's bingo card, what Caitlin was rocking was not surprising.

The words on CC's hoodie are actually a reference to Vanessa Bryant. Kobe's widow uttered the iconic phrase upon unveiling a statue of the Los Angeles Lakers legend, stating that it was indeed Bryant who picked the pose. She later revealed that Nike had sent her the hoodie above in an Instagram post.

Of course what Clark chose to wear while shopping for produce is far from the first time she has been seen in Kobe inspired gear. Caitlin consistently wears Kobe's kicks, including in the most recent footage the Fever shared upon returning to practice. She also notably wore Bryant's sneaker line at the WNBA All-Star Game and in breaking the NCAA's all-time scoring record.

Clark has spoken on her affinity for the shoes in the past, revealing a special love for the "Bruce Lee" edition of Kobe's while talking about how Bryant has inspired her following a big performance in LA. "Everybody knows the Bruce Lee's are my babies...I guess that's just the mentality you have to have as a competitor. You want those moments. You embrace those moments."

I think it is safe to say that the late, great Kobe Bryant would have been a fan of Caitlin Clark's game. Still, Kobe's legendary "Mamba Mentality" clearly lives on through her and so many others around basketball. And Clark's appreciation for Bryant can be seen almost everywhere she goes, from the court to Kroger.
