Fever Rookie Caitlin Clark Will Make Her NASCAR Debut

Grace Smith-USA TODAY Sports

Indiana Fever rookie Caitlin Clark is heading to Nascar. No, she won't be driving like she does the team's offense, but she will appear on the hood of a race car. Josh Berry will debut the "Raining 3s" car this weekend at Indianapolis Motor Speedway and Clark is a part of the paint scheme from Stewart-Haas Racing. This is all part of CC's deal with Panini America, who have already released a line of signature trading cards around the former Iowa star.

This is just one of many deals for Clark, who also has a signature basketball line with Wilson and a Nike shoe on the way. However, this particular sponsorship will be put into action at high speed. Berry, who is leading the points for NASCAR Cup Series rookie-of-the-year, will drive the car featuring Clark at NASCAR's Brickyard 400. Fittingly the race will take place in Indy, home of the Fever.

Clark will not be in attendance for the race though, as she and her teammates Aliyah Boston and Kelsey Mitchell will be in Phoenix for the WNBA All-Star Game. Indiana has been off to the races after a slow start, compiling a 10-6 record since beginning the season at just 1-8.

Regardless, all eyes will surely be on Clark this weekend. Whether they be the ones watching her adorn the hood of a NASCAR or in her All-Star jersey as she attempts to take down Team USA and the Olympics squad she was notably not chosen to be a part of.
