Angel Reese Dogs Indiana Fever!
Angel Reese said it herself, she is a dog. Which is really the perfect description for her game. Given Barbie is rough and rugged and definitely not pretty in the paint. And it was Angel's relentless pursuit of the basketball that allowed the Chicago Sky to storm back and beat Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever, bringing Angel to 1-2 in the head-to-head matchups between the two WNBA rookie rivals.

Reese is right in that she has a motor that cannot be taught and when she finishes around the rim, the Sky star is already a top tier player in the W. As evidenced by her stat line of 25 points and 16 rebounds, totals that haven't been put up by a first-year player since A'ja Wilson, who turned out okay.

Chicago can count on being competitive thanks to Reese, but there are other reasons for optimism with the team in the Windy City. Fellow rookie Kamilla Cardoso is playing strong alongside Angel and the third-overall pick in the draft has a combination of size and skill that also cannot be taught.

Then there is Chennedy Carter. Chicago's CC has been cooking ever since the foul on Clark that became an international incident. Carter has been a consistent scorer for the Sky and seems to have used the controversy to renew her focus in order to harness the talent that had previously not been maximized.
That is a core coach Teresa Weatherspoon may be able to count on going forward, the same way she can count on Reese putting up a double-double.
