It's no secret that Caitlin Clark likes to shoot from deep. Her logo threes were a part of her rise to fame after all.

So it wasn't exactly surprising when the Indiana Fever shared a statistic showing Clark is hitting from an average distance of two-feet further than any other WNBA player on 3-point makes.

To take it a step further, pun intended, Caitlin is also taking shots from deeper than several noted NBA marksmen. Clark's average shot distance of 28 feet actually exceeds the career longest for players like Steph Curry, Damian Lillard and Trae Young.

But perhaps what is most fascinating about Clark's shot depth is her percentages. Clark is shooting 32.8% from three overall. A number she would surely like to see go up. However, when looking deeper, another pun, Clark is a hitting at a ridiculous rate from further away.

Clark is shooting at just 28.9% from 20-24 feet, what one could consider normal 3-point distance. That rises to 33.1% on attempts from 25-29 feet. Clark is shooting best from even deeper though. Caitlin is hitting at 37.5% from 30-34 feet.

It's possible that is a statistical anomaly due to a small sample size. But Clark has taken 40 shots from the longer distance, which is enough to believe the bombs are not a fluke.

So while it may not be shocking to see CC taking attempts from further away than any other player, it's certainly interesting that her efficiency goes up from a longer distance.

Which speaks to the gravity she creates and the defensive attention that must come her way. In what is yet another impressive thing about Clark's magnificent rookie season.
