Caitlin Clark WNBA All-Star Highlights Continue to Go Viral
Fans are getting their Caitlin Clark highlights in while they still can. The Indiana Fever rookie has earned her WNBA respect heading into the Olympic break, but her All-Star mixtape is still making waves on social media.
There were so many sights and sounds from the festivities that not every moment could be appreciated in real time. Here is some of the footage currently making the rounds, including this instance of Clark cooking Sabrina Ionescu of the New York Liberty.
Then there is this angle of a pass she made to Fever teammate Aliyah Boston during the game. Clark and Boston have connected often this season but the one in question also led to a notable reaction from the Liberty's Jonquel Jones upon seeing the dime in real time.
Clark and Jones had a hook up themselves, one that could certainly be described as akin to a beautiful touchdown. That is on top of the much discussed feed CC had to fellow rookie Angel Reese of the Chicago Sky.
On another play Clark was seen drawing four defenders in the lane before kicking it out to Boston for a three-point attempt, one Seattle Storm star Nneka Ogwumike was paying close attention to while being interviewed by Ryan Ruocco on the ESPN broadcast.
Of course the competitiveness and intensity of the All-Star contest was widely celebrated, which also went for how CC was defended. Kelsey Plum of the Las Vegas Aces and others could be seen face guarding her and picking her up full-court, even during what was an exhibition.
And finally there was this moment that showed Clark was in control out on the floor. The WNBA All-Star starting point guard could be seen in command, even amongst the veterans. Phoenix Mercury guard Natasha Cloud even praised the way Caitlin pushes the pace on the telecast. That pace is one of the reasons she finished the game with the most assists, in helping lead Team WNBA to the W over Team USA. With plenty of contributions coming from others as well, specifically Dallas Wings star Arike Ogunbowale.
Clark will now have a month off before returning to basketball action, a reprieve she said is much needed. Until she returns to the floor, the mixtape worth of All-Star highlights will have to suffice.
