Indiana Fever Are More Than Caitlin Clark!

Caitlin Clark gets all the attention. She is a star after all.

But she can no longer be the focus of all the defensive attention, because the Indiana Fever are getting contributions up and down the lineup. Making Clark even more dangerous given playmaking may be her best basketball skill.

The Indiana Fever have the top offensive rating in the league over this current winning streak, culminating in a dominating performance against the Atlanta Dream. The Fever are getting consistent scoring contributions from not just Clark, but Aliyah Boston, NaLyssa Smith, and Kelsey Mitchell as well. As a result, Caitlin and company are now putting on a show in front of sold out arenas.

The Boston and Clark connection has become a force of a combination with the teammates occupying two of the top three spots in WNBA All-Star voting. But Smith and Mitchell have also supplemented that with production of their own. Smith provides another skilled big, while Mitchell has a bucket-getting mentality that can bail the Fever out in late shot clock situations and give a completely different look alongside CC in the backcourt. All four players mentioned are consistently scoring in double figures, taking away the blitzing defenses Clark saw earlier in the season.

Of course Caitlin is also able to get her own shot, either from deep or at the cup. But her teammates are providing Clark the opportunity to orchestrate, and she is now conducting what has been the best offense in the entire WNBA--given the Fever are on fire.
