Rebecca Lobo Posts Amazing Caitlin Clark Stat

Grace Hollars/IndyStar / USA TODAY

Rebecca Lobo knows a thing or two about women's hoops and she posted a Caitlin Clark stat that caught the attention of all basketball fans. Lobo shared numbers that show the Indiana Fever rookie has been responsible for more of her team's offense than any other player this season, while playing the toughest schedule in the WNBA.

While impressive, the data isn't really surprising. I've previously pointed out that Clark is generating offense at a historic rate, which is why I believe she is closer to being in the MVP conversation than any Rookie of the Year debate, as that award should realistically already be wrapped up. It also goes to show you how talk about her turnovers is way overblown given CC's production.

The part of it that is more interesting to me is the strength of schedule dynamic. The Fever did start the season with a compressed stretch of games against some of the league's best teams, getting out the gates at just 1-8. They are 10-6 since with wins over the New York Liberty, Minnesota Lynx, and Phoenix Mercury. If how they played after rest is any indication, Indiana should only get stronger following the Olympic break and as the schedule softens and their newfound experience comes into play.

Clark and company have a game with the Dallas Wings before that and then she and her fellow Fever teammates Aliyah Boston and Kelsey Mitchell will take part in the WNBA All-Star Game, as they attempt to take down Team USA.
