Liverpool has signed midfielder Philippe Coutinho to a long-term extension, the club announced on Tuesday.
The Guardian reports that the deal runs through the summer of 2020. Coutinho has made 81 appearances for Liverpool since signing with the team from Inter Milan in 2013. The 22-year-old has also been a member of the Brazil national team since 2010.

"I'm really happy. It's a dream come true playing for this great club and being part of this squad," Coutinho said. "It means so much. This club has given me the opportunity to play and believed in me even though I hadn't been playing regularly at my previous club."
In December, Coutinho was named Liverpool's Player of the Month. He has 10 scored goals while with Liverpool and has 22 career goals.
