It's been 16 years since the U.S. women's national team won a World Cup. These are the 23 players and one manager who hope to put an end to that streak. 

Meet the U.S. women's national team, which kicks off its quest to capture the 2015 Women's World Cup in Canada on June 8 and hopes to not finish until a July 5 match at Vancouver's BC Place. 

Led by veterans such as Abby Wambach, Carli Lloyd, Hope Solo, prolific forwards Alex Morgan, Sydney Leroux and Christen Press and up-and-coming talents in Morgan Brian and Julie Johnston, Jill Ellis's team faces a difficult group and an improving array of contenders around the world, but is still among the favorites to reach the sport's pinnacle.
