Watch: Fabian Johnson scores for Mönchengladbach vs. Bayern Munich

Fabian Johnson's great run of form with Borussia Mönchengladbach continued with another appearance on the scoresheet on Saturday, as the German-born American scored his club's third goal to put it up 3-0 in an eventual 3-1 win over powerhouse Bayern Munich, the first time the defending champions have lost this season.
Playing in a more advanced midfield position than the defensive role he normally occupies with the United States, Johnson found himself with a breakaway chance in the 68th minute. Coralling a lofted through ball by Mahmoud Dahoud, Johnson stayed onside, bared down on Bayern goalkeeper Manuel Neuer, and finished cleanly with his right foot to send Borussia-Park into hysterics.

The goal is Johnson's fifth in a little more than a month for 'Gladbach, a run that started with a goal against Juventus in the Champions League on November 3rd. The goal helps his club's push up the table, as 'Gladbach pursues a spot in next season's Champions League. With the win, Gladbach currently sits in third position in the Bundesliga, six points behind Borussia Dortmund.
