Kyle Busch has returned to his home after being released from the hospital.
Busch underwent two surgeries and was hospitalized for six days in two locations after suffering a compound fracture of his right leg and a left foot fracture in a crash during an Xfinity series race at Daytona International Speedway.
The crash involved Busch's car making contact with a wall that did not feature SAFER barriers. After the crash, Joie Chitwood III, the president of DIS, said that the track would install the barriers "on every inch of this property."
Joe Gibbs Racing announced earlier this week that David Ragan will replace Busch in the No. 18 Sprint Cup car for the foreseeable future.
