Green Bay Packers president Mark Murphy wants to retire Brett Favre's No. 4 jersey, but wants to wait a year or two so it will mean more to the legendary quarterback, according to Lori Nickel of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.
Favre last played for the Packers in 2007, culminating a historic 16-year career with the team where he set numerous team and NFL records. During his time in Green Bay he won three NFL Most Valuable Player awards, and helped lead the team to a Super Bowl victory in 1997.
Favre retired following the 2010 season.
