Jake Locker is the favorite to start at quarterback for the Tennessee Titans, NFL Network's Mike Lombardi said on Inside Training Camp Live (via ProFootballTalk's Evan Silva).
Locker is splitting first-team snaps with veteran Matt Hasselbeck, who started last season for the Titans. The 36-year-old Hasselbeck was solid, completing 61.6 percent of his passes and throwing 18 touchdowns.
But Locker, the No. 8 pick in last year's NFL Draft, showed promise in limited time in five games. He is more of a dual threat and averaged seven yards per carry. With Locker in charge, the Titans' offense would be more dynamic, but the team would also have to deal with mistakes from a first-time starter.
