Former New Orleans Saints player Steve Gleason was recently interviewed by HBO's "Real Sports with Bryant Gumbel" talking about the Saints bounty problems and former defensive coordinator Gregg Williams.

Some of the early transcripts were released and Gleason now says he was misquoted by the show, reports the New Orleans Times-Picayune

“When [Williams] specified the other players' injuries, that to me, was over the line. … The real problem was no one seemed shocked. There was no discussion of, 'Wow, did we just hear that?" Gleason said on the program.

Gleason says the “no one seemed shocked,” quote wasn't referring to the Saints in general but the non NFL players that were with him. Gleason says he made that clear to correspondent Jon Frankel, who interviewed him.

"I feel I was misquoted," Gleason told the Times Picayune. "I don't know if they misunderstood me because I don't speak that clearly or what, but they misquoted me."
