Damian Lillard, a unanimous vote for Rookie of the Year this season, was named on Tuesday to the NBA All-Rookie First Team, according to a press release from the NBA. The Trail Blazers guard, who became only the fourth player to unanimously win the Rookie of the Year award (Blake Griffin, David Robinson, Ralph Sampson), joins the Washington Wizards' Bradley Beal, New Orleans Pelicans center Anthony Davis, Dion Waiters of the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Golden State Warriors' Harrison Barnes, to round out the top five rookie performers this season.
The votes were cast by a panel comprised of the league's 30 head coaches, who had to submit five players for the First Team and another five players for the All-Rookie Second Team. The coaches did not have to pick one player from each position and could not cast a vote for a player on their team.
