Kevin Durant donated $1 million to the Red Cross on Tuesday in the wake of a 22-mile long tornado that swept through Oklahoma on Monday, killing 24 people including nine children and leaving scores of residents to clean up the devastation.
The news of Durant's donation came via a tweet Tuesday afternoon from the Red Cross in which the agency said the Oklahoma City All-Star matched $1 million in funds donated for tornado relief by the American Red Cross (ARC).
Durant, along with other members of the Thunder franchise including Serge Ibaka and Thabo Sefolosha, tweeted their thoughts and prayers for the victims of the tornado.
