UPDATE: Matt Russell reportedly remaining with Broncos

Updated: 6:21 EDT Matt Russell has decided to remain with the Broncos, according to Albert Breer of NFL.com via Twitter
Originally posted: 6:11 EDT Denver Broncos director of player personnel Matt Russell is interested in becoming the athletic director of his alma mater, according to the Denver Post.
The former Colorado All-American linebacker is John Elway's right-hand man, and was recently barred from interviewing for the San Diego Chargers' general manager opening. Russell is in charge of the Broncos' college and pro scouting efforts.
Mike Bohn resigned as Colorado's athletic director Tuesday.
Russell, who played for the Buffaloes from 1993-96, won the Butkus Award given to the nation's top linebacker as a senior.
