Former Miami Heat forward Mike Miller has cleared waivers and is now an unrestricted free agent, according to multiple reports. Now the San Antonio Spurs, Memphis Grizzlies, Oklahoma City Thunder, and Houston Rockets are interested, ESPN.com's Brian Windhorst reported.

The Heat waived Miller on Tuesday, using the team's amnesty clause. He had 48 hours to clear waivers. The Cleveland Cavaliers were reportedly interested during the waiver period, but they were concerned that Miller is considering fusion surgery to repair bulging disks in his back. Miller can now sign with any team except the Heat.

Amidst concerns, the 33-year-old Miller told The Miami Herald recently that he feels fine. He also said that he wants to play for a contender. A veteran of 12 NBA seasons, Miller averaged 4.8 points and 2.7 rebounds in 59 games last season, one that ended with the Heat winning their second consecutive championship.

“My body feels better now than it has in a long time,” said Miller, who started his offseason training last week and wants to again play for a contender. “It’s like the Pringles theory. Once you get that taste, you’ve got to have more.”
