The Pirates addressed their batting order with Tuesday's trade for outfielder Marlon Byrd, but they may not be finished adding more pop to their offense. Jon Heyman of CBS Sports reports the Pirates have their eye on Twins first baseman Justin Morneau.

Morneau, the 2006 American League MVP, was placed on revocable waivers by the Twins two weeks ago, perhaps to test the market. In July, the Twins rebuffed extension talks for Morneau, who is finishing the last season of a six-year, $80 million contract. Last week, Twins GM Terry Ryan said he did not expect to trade Morneau, but the possibility remains.

Morneau had a better August after a July slump but is still batting a disappointing .263 with 15 home runs and 72 RBI.
