St. Louis Cardinals first baseman Allen Craig was injured during Wednesday's game against the Cincinnati Reds while trying to avoid running into an umpire.

In the fourth inning, Craig hit a ground ball to Reds first baseman Joey Votto, who threw high to starter Bronson Arroyo covering the bag. He tried to avoid first base umpire Laz Diaz but hurt his leg.

Craig was later diagnosed with a left foot sprain. Matt Adams replaced him in the field and he will be re-evaluated on Thursday.
