Ron Gardenhire will continue to manage the Minnesota Twins through the 2015 season, thanks to a new two-year contract extension.
Gardenhire's 12-year stint as Twins manager was thought by many observers to be in jeopardy after the team logged three consecutive 95-loss seasons, but the Minnesota front office has elected to keep the 2010 AL Manager of the Year, as well as his staff, on for the near future.
Mike Berardino of the Pioneer Press reports that Gardenhire's extension will be announced at a team press conference on Monday afternoon.
