The Cincinnati Reds will name pitching coach Bryan Price their next manager on Tuesday, FOX Sports' Ken Rosenthal reported.

Price will replace Dusty Baker, who was fired after six seasons as Reds manager. Baker was let go three days after the Reds were bounced from the postseason in a one-game playoff against the Pittsburgh Pirates.

Price was hired as the Reds' pitching coach before the 2010 season. Before his time in Cincinnati, he made stops as a pitching coach with the Arizona Diamondbacks and Seattle Mariners.

Price's time as the Reds' pitching coach has been a boon for the team. In his four seasons, the Reds have finished seventh, 12th, third, and fourth, respectively, in National League ERA. As manager, he will inherit a talented young roster that could see some changes this offseason, with leadoff hitter Shin-Soo Choo and starter Bronson Arroyo set to become free agents.
