Jose Molina is has agreed in principle to a two year deal with the Rays

Catcher Jose Molina and the Tampa Bay Rays have come to terms on a two-year contract worth $4.5 million, according to Mike Axisa of CBSSports.com.

The 38 year-old catcher will receive $1.75 million next season and $2.75 million in 2015, provided he passes a team physical. Molina has caught for the Rays since the 2012 season, and is considered to be one the league's better defensive catchers, and an expert in framing borderline pitches as strikes.

Molina is expected to split time as catcher with Jose Lobaton next year, as he did throughout the 2013 season.
