Report: Twins sign Phil Hughes to three-year, $24 million deal

The  Minneapolis Star-Tribune is reporting that the Minnesota Twins signed pitcher Phil Hughes to a three-year, $24 million deal.

Minnesota agreed to a four-year, $49 million free agent deal with righthander Ricky Nolasco Wednesday, and the club was reportedly looking to add another rotation upgrade.

Hughes, 27, posted a 5.19 ERA in 145 2/3 innings this past season with the Yankees. He's had some injury troubles, missing almost half of the 2011 season due to shoulder inflammation.

He will join  Nolasco, Kevin Correia and Samuel Deduno in a rebuilt Twins rotation.
