An MRI revealed Monday that Los Angeles Lakers forward Pau Gasol has a left foot strain, the team said Monday. He will be a game-time decision Tuesday, when the Lakers take on the Cleveland Cavaliers.
The Lakers described the injury as a "moderate strain of the flexor tendon of the big toe of his left foot."
Gasol injured his foot in the Lakers' 123-87 loss to the Los Angeles Clippers on Friday. The team has not said at what point during the first half that the injury occurred.
The Lakers have been stricken with injuries all season. Only eight players were available for practice on Monday.
Gasol, 33, is averaging 15.6 points and 9.6 rebounds this season.
