Free agent pitcher Grant Balfour agreed to a two-year deal with the Tampa Bay Rays on Thursday, reports Fox Sports' Ken Rosenthal.
No financial terms were reported with the deal.
The Baltimore Orioles and Balfour reportedly agreed to a two-year, $15 million contract last month, but the deal fell apart after the pitcher's physical. The Orioles had concerns with his shoulder, but Balfour's representatives said there was nothing wrong with his arm.
Balfour had 62 saves over the last two seasons for the Oakland Athletics.
