Former Memphis Grizzlies head coach Lionel Hollins said he would be interested in the Detroit Pistons job but says no one has reached out to him yet.

The Pistons fired Maurice Cheeks this week just 50 games into his first season with the team. The team named assistant John Loyer as the interim coach.

Hollins led Grizzlies to the Western Conference Finals last season, but the team and Hollins could not agree on a new contract.

DOLLINGER: Ice-cold February cooling off several once-hot teams

“I can’t tell you. I haven’t had any contact with them, nor has my agent. I’ve expressed to different media outlets that I would have an interest in listening to what they have to say," Hollins said to SiriusXM NBA Radio, via MLive.com. "They have an intriguing team with some of the young big guys that they have. So I would definitely be interested in talking to them. I’m flattered by all the non-decision makers coming out and saying that the job is mine and I’m the first choice and they are coming after me."
