Texas A&M quarterback Johnny Manziel will not throw at the NFL combine in Indianapolis later this month, according to his agent Erik Burkhardt.
Manziel will throw at an individual pro day March 27 and for teams in private workouts, electing to also forgo the official Texas A&M pro day March 5.
Choosing not to throw at pro day has become increasingly common for top-tier QB prospects, who often cite a preference for throwing to their college teammates at their school's pro day. NFL.com's Daniel Kim reports that Blake Bortles, AJ McCarron, and Derek Carr are all considering not participating in the throwing portions of the combine.
