Within days, there could be a Bennett family duo in Chicago.

The Chicago Bears are in "strong pursuit" of top free agent defensive end Michael Bennett, the brother of tight end Martellus Bennett, The Chicago Tribune's Brad Biggs reported Sunday. And other teams interested in Michael Bennett expect him to land in Chicago.

From Biggs' report:

Officials for three other clubs linked Bennett to the Bears and two said they expect it to happen after free agency opens at 3 p.m. [CT] Tuesday. One source said Bennett could visit Halas Hall on Tuesday, but rules of the current negotiating window prohibit such a meeting from being scheduled.

Biggs cautioned there is "plenty of time" for the situation to shift, and the Super Bowl-winning Seattle Seahawks want to bring back Bennett.

The 28-year-old Bennett was Seattle’s best defensive lineman in its Super Bowl-winning season, posting 8.5 sacks. Earlier this month, he suggested that he wouldn’t take a discount to stay with the Seahawks.

“This isn’t Costco. This isn’t Wal-Mart. This is real life,” he told the NFL Network.
