Rangers' Jurickson Profar out 10-12 weeks with torn shoulder muscle

Texas Rangers second baseman Jurickson Profar will be out 10-12 weeks with a torn muscle in his right shoulder, the team announced Sunday, according to MLB.com's T.R. Sullivan.
An MRI on Sunday revealed the tear, which will not require surgery. The 21-year-old Profar was set to begin the season as the Rangers' starting second baseman, following an offseason during which the Rangers opened up a spot for him at the position by trading Ian Kinsler to the Detroit Tigers.
Profar came up through the Rangers' system consistently rated as one of the top prospects in baseball. In 286 major-league at-bats last season, he batted .234 with six homers, 26 RBI, and a .644 OPS.
Josh Wilson and Brent Lillibridge are two internal candidates to replace Profar, according to Sullivan. The Rangers open their season a week from Monday against the Philadelphia Phillies.
