Xavier University guard Semaj Christon is leaving for the NBA after two seasons at the school, according to Jeff Goodman of ESPN.
The sophomore logged 17.2 points and 4.2 assists per game for the Musketeers this season, which saw the team lose to N.C. State in the tournament's opening round.
Christon told ESPN that he was grateful to Xavier for all they had done, but felt he had to pursue his dreams at the pro level.
"It's been my lifelong dream of playing in the NBA. Xavier has been a great experience, but now it's time for me to move onto a different chapter in my life for me and my family."
