The Oakland Raiders have signed free-agent cornerback Carlos Rogers to a one-year contract.
The Raiders announced the signing of the Rogers Monday night via twitter.
Rogers was cut in a cost saving move by the 49ers earlier this month. He will join former 49ers teammate Tarell Brown, who also signed one-year deal with the Raiders on March 14. Signing Rogers is one of several moves made by the Raiders this off season to revamp their defense.
Rogers, 32, has started 116 games over nine seasons with Washington and San Francisco. He has 17 career interceptions and 109 passes defensed.
