The Cleveland Cavaliers are reportedly interested in John Calipari as their next head coach, according to a tweet from Sam Amico of Fox Sports Ohio.
Calipari, whose Kentucky Wildcats lost the NCAA national title game to the UConn Huskies in April, is also reportedly being recruited by the Los Angeles Lakers. The Cavs let go of Mike Brown earlier this week after his second stint with Cleveland. The Lakers parted ways with Mike D'Antoni earlier this offseason.

The Cavs finished this season 33-49, missing the playoffs in Brown's first season back in Cleveland. He previously coached the team during most of the LeBron James era in Cleveland, which spanned from 2005-2010.
The 55-year-old Calipari is currently in his fifth year with the Wildcats. He was an assistant coach with the Philadelphia 76ers during the 1999-2000 season and was the head coach of the Nets from 1996-99, who were in New Jersey at the time. The rest of his more than 30 years as a coach have been spent at the college level, compiling an overall record of 552–172 (.762).
