Brewers outfielder Carlos Gomez is back in Milwaukee's lineup on Monday for the team's away game against the Atlanta Braves, according to a tweet from Tom Haudricourt of the Milwaukee Sentinel Journal.
The 28-year-old All-Star was a late scratch for the team's win against the Cubs at Wrigley Field on Friday because of stiffness in his lower back. He also missed the team's loss to wrap up the series on Sunday because of a stomach virus.
Gomez returns with a .924 OPS, nine home runs and seven steals in 39 games. The Brewers are 27-17 and sit atop the NL Central.
Not only is CF Carlos Gomez back in #Brewers lineup, Martin Maldonado is catching. They are undefeated when he starts.
