Florida State holds conduct hearing for witnesses in Jameis Winston sexual assault case

Florida State University held a hearing on Tuesday concerning the sexual assault accusations brought against Heisman Trophy winner Jameis Winston, according to The New York Times' Walt Bogdanich.

The meeting concerned portions of the student conduct code that may have been violated by the two football players, Chris Casher and Ronald Darby, who witnessed the sexual encounter between Winston and his accuser. Casher recorded the encounter through an open door but says he deleted the evidence a few days later.

The accuser was interviewed as part of the proceedings, and her lawyer, John Clune, claims that Winston was scheduled to attend but was not present.

Clune told the Times that the school has 10 days to deliver a ruling on Casher and Darby's alleged violations, although the school did not confirm that timeline, saying it could not discuss the matter.
