Report: Dodgers' Chris Withrow has UCL tear, Tommy John surgery recommended

The Tommy John surgery epidemic continues.
Dodgers reliever Chris Withrow has been diagnosed with a UCL tear in his right elbow and Tommy John surgery has been recommended to fix it, according to Bill Shaikin of the Los Angeles Times.
Withrow will get a second opinion, according to Eric Stephen of SB Nation.
The 25-year-old has a 2.95 ERA in 20 appearances this season with 18 walks and 28 strikeouts in 21 1/3 innings.
Since the start of 2014, 20 major league pitchers have undergone Tommy John surgery, according to an ESPN.com report published on Thursday.
