Houston Astros second baseman Jose Altuve left Thursday night's eventual win over the Arizona Diamondbacks after being hit by a pitch in his right hand.

Altuve squared to bunt in the bottom of the seventh inning and was hit by the pitch. He immediately fell to the ground, shaking his hand in obvious pain. After Altuve exited the game, the Astros said they had no immediate updates.

The 24-year-old Altuve has been a bright spot for the resurgent Astros. He entered Thursday's game batting .315 with two homers, 20 doubles and a .355 on-base percentage. He also leads the league in hits, with 88, and in stolen bases, with 24.

The Astros beat the Diamondbacks, 5-4, in 10 innings.
