FC Dallas cuts ties with Mexican defender Davino
FC Dallas and center back Duilio Davino have decided to end their one-year relationship Friday with no concrete reason cited in a press release from the club.
"Duilio is a great professional who has enjoyed a storied career," said Dallas General Manager Michael Hitchcock. "He brought a great deal of experience and leadership to FC Dallas that will benefit our younger players for years to come. We wish Duilio all the best in the next chapter of his career."
Davino was the team's captain this past season after having just signed for the Hoops back in January. He started 22 of the 23 games in which he appeared for the team and was on the sidelines for another seven after suffering through a rough ankle injury.
Before joining Dallas, the 32-year-old Mexican was a stalwart in Club America's lineup, making 323 appearances over his 10 years with the club. It appears that after leaving Dallas, he'll look to restart his career in the Mexican Primera, a league where he had much success.
